Cashless Payment System

Movement Entertainment is the first Italian company in the live-entertainment business, and among few in Europe, to use the Cashless technology for electronic music festivals.

This is a digital system to manage economic transaction for the purchase of goods and services. It replaces the traditional plastic token and it reduces the circulation of cash thanks to the use of contactless technology with an RFID card.

The system improves the audience experience as well as the Festival’s reliability. In fact the Cashless platform can send real time data on sales and customers’ willingness to spend.

Benefits

  • Reduction in the circulation of cash with benefits for public safety
  • Reliable accounting and real-time sales reports
  • Possibility of control of single transactions
  • Instant replacement in case of theft or loss
  • Reduction in queues and waiting time

How it works

Customers receive their card at top-up stations, where they can recharge it using cash, debit or credit card.

At the end of the festival they can choose whether to get a refund of the left-over credit or to register on the Paycard portal to use it at the next festival.

H2020 MONICA project

Kappa FuturFestival is one of the main pilot site of the European project M.O.N.I.C.A., whose aim is to balance the optimal outdoor concert sound and the reduction of unwanted noise in the surrounding environment.

To demonstrate the control of sound, the new stage, FUTUR, works as the main experimental area for the MONICA sound control system, based on a set-up of sound level meters and additional loudspeakers “contrasting” with the stage audio system before it gets to neighboring houses.
