Movement Entertainment are glad to share with their supporters Movement Torino 12th edition’s excellent results: the contemporary music and visual arts festival, that holds the European Commission patronage together with Kappa FuturFestival, has once again confirmed itself as the main Italian autumn format.
PROGRAM AND ARTISTS – The program spread between 20th October and 1st November, involving over 61 artists across 6 different venues. Nine dates on the table: before the two Main Shows at Lingotto Fiere, “LaStampa Sound Journey” at the Airport of Torino and two Masterclasses at Politecnico di Torino.
ATTENDANCE – 35.000 attendees during the week (+15%). The two Main Shows of the 28th and 31st October registered 25.000 people from 24 European countries (+8% foreign public).
INNOVATION – Movement perfected the exclusive use of the cashless technology: the digital payment method through a loyalty card integrated with an RFID chip, necessary to purchase goods and services at the Festival. This is one of the best-practices monitored by the Horizon 2020 MONICA project (won together with Città di Torino, Istituto Boella, Telecom Italia and Digisky), focusing on “digital access control” to face challenges in the field of monitoring flows and of security controls in order to build a consumer-friendly environment.
TERRITORY AND TOURISM – Movement consolidated its bonds with the territory through the collaboration with the most qualified industrial partners in Torino, with 65 local suppliers and the employment of over 500 human resources and the tight interaction with local tourist operators. Movement Hospitality System® promoted 1.800 overnight stays in partner hotels and carried 3.500 guests on the subway and 2.500 with Torino Taxi.
The estimated positive outcome on the territory is 8 million euros.
HEALTH AND SAFETY – Movement benefited for the 12th consecutive year of Regione Piemonte’s precious 118 medical service and A.S.L. Torino 2 health assistance. The Neutravel and P.I.N. projects contributed to the best development of the event.
MEDIA AND COMMUNICATION – 60 accredited media and 30 media operators. The partnership with the major European sector media spread and qualified the cultural message. The website registered 47k unique visitors and 140k visited pages. The Facebook page has 90k likes with a reach of 5million users since January 2017.
