MOVEMENT ENTERTAINMENT ANNUAL REPORT 2016
Movement Entertainment are glad to share with their supporters the excellent results reached in 2016, marked by the extraordinary recognition of the European Commission patronage, The New York Times’s mention for both Kappa FuturFestival and Movement as unmissable events of the year and the achievement of an Horizon 2020 Internet of Things award.
Productions and cultural activity
4 Festivals have been produced in 2016 (IndepenDance 2nd edition, Kappa FuturFestival 5th edition, Movement Croatia 1st edition and Movement Torino Music Festival 11th edition) together with 40 clubbing “episodes”, counting overall more than 130k attendees during the year (+8%).
Movement Entertainment has renewed the collaboration with some of the most important cultural institutions of the municipality such as Circolo dei Lettori, Fondazione CRT, Istituto Superiore Mario Boella, Museo del Risparmio, Politecnico di Torino, Temporary Museum.
The partnership with 23 leading industrial groups has also been consolidated, 8 of which are regionally based: Autogrill, BasicNet, Blablacar, Campari-Jägermeister, CGT-Caterpillar, CocaCola Company, L’Espresso, laFeltrinelli, Flixbus, GL Events, GTT, Heineken, JTI, Lavazza, Monster-Energy, Reale Mutua, Sagat-Torino Airport, Sebach, TicketOne, Trenitalia, Unilever.
Over 1k people worked at the above-mentioned productions and 150 international artists were hosted.
Tourism and economic outcome
Movement Hospitality System® promoted 3.250 overnight stays in partner hotels and over 8.000 rides with its Mobility Partners (buses, car-pooling, taxi, local transport company, trains).
The economic outcome on the territory has been estimated in 25mil€.
Innovation
MovemEntertainment is the only European company working in the live electronic-dance music industry, that has established its own cashless circuit: the digital payment method through a loyalty card that reduces the circulation of cash, improves the accounting procedure and grants sponsors a unique platform to interact directly with the Festivals’ audience.
Multimedia
International media partners have promoted Movement Entertainment’s productions, with a mediatic campaign valued at around 1.8mil €, placing the city of Turin and Piedmont at the center of their editorial focus.
The group’s websites register 187k unique visitors and 635k viewed pages, while social media have a reach of 20mil, with 168.4k followers only on Facebook.
