Movement Entertainment are glad to share with their supporters the excellent results obtained in 2017, marked by the extraordinary recognition of the European Commission patronage and the start of the project Horizon 2020 MONICA.
Productions and cultural activity
4 Festivals have been produced in 2017 (Movement Torino 12th edition, Kappa FuturFestival 6th edition, IndepenDance 3rd edition Movement Croatia 2nd edition) together with 3 Cultural and 58 clubbing “episodes”, counting overall more than 140k attendees during the year (+7%).
Movement Entertainment renewed the collaboration with some of the most important cultural institutions of the municipality such as Fondazione CRT, Istituto Superiore Mario Boella, Museo del Risparmio, Politecnico di Torino, Università degli Studi di Torino.
The partnership with 20 leading industrial groups has also been consolidated, 8 of which are regionally based: Autogrill, BasicNet, Campari, Coca-Cola Company, CGT-Caterpillar, L’Espresso, Flixbus, GL Events, GTT, Heineken, JTI, Lavazza, Mondialpol, Monster-Energy, Pioneer DJ, Reale Mutua, Sagat-Torino Airport, La Stampa, TicketOne, Unilever.
Movement Entertainment hosted 170 international artists and over 1k people were employed with a full-time equivalent of 42 employees.
Tourism and economic outcome
Movement Hospitality System® promoted 13k overnight stays in partner hotels (+300%) and over 13k rides with their Mobility Partners (buses, taxi, local transport company).
The positive economic outcome on the territory has been estimated in 25m euros.
Innovation
Movement Entertainment is the only European company working in the live electronic-dance music industry, that has established its own cashless circuit: the digital payment method through a loyalty card that reduces the circulation of cash, improves the accounting procedure and grants sponsors a unique platform to interact directly with the Festivals’ audience.
Multimedia
International media partners have promoted Movement Entertainment’s productions, with a media campaign valued at around 2m euros, placing the city of Turin and Piedmont at the center of their editorial focus. The group’s websites register 282k unique visitors and 771k viewed pages, while social media have a reach of 20m users*, with 305k followers only on Facebook (+81%).
