Movement Festival 2016 – Final Report

By Novembre 11, 2016Agosto 30th, 2017Uncategorized

Movement Entertainment are glad to share with their supporters Movement Torino 11th edition’s excellent results: the contemporary music and visual arts festival, that holds the European Commission patronage together with Kappa FuturFestival, has once again confirmed itself as the main Italian winter format.

Program and Artists – The program is spread between 22nd October and 1st November, involving over 30 artists across 7 different venues. Eight dates on the table: Superga Birthday Party at Audiodrome live Club and two Workshops at Politecnico di Torino, one of which in collaboration with BasicNet Group anticipated the Main Show on 31st October at Lingotto Fiere.

Attendance – 30.000 attendees during the week. The Main Show alone registered 20.000 people from all over Europe (+8% audience from outside Piedmont and +10% foreign public compared to the 2015 edition).

Innovation – Movement perfected the exclusive use of the cashless technology: the digital payment method through a loyalty card integrated with an RFID chip, necessary to purchase goods and services at the Festival. For the first time it has been possible to re-use the cards distributed at KFF and Audiodrome, the only live Club in Europe to introduce this technology.

Territory and Tourism – Movement consolidated its bonds with the territory through the collaboration with the most qualified industrial partners in Torino, 150 regional suppliers, the employment of over 450 human resources and the tight interaction with local tourist operators. Movement Hospitality System® promoted 1.650 overnight stays in partner hotels (+8%) and carried 3.500 guests on the subway (+25%) and 2.000 with Torino Taxi (+5%).

The Festival’s positive economical impact on the territory is estimated around 5 million euros.

Health and Safety – Movement benefited for the 11th consecutive year of Regione Piemonte’s precious 118 medical service and A.S.L. Torino 2 health assistance. The Neutravel and P.I.N. projects contributed to the best Event’s development.

Media and communication – 39 accredited media operators from over 20 different national and international publications. The partnership with the major European sector media spread and qualified the cultural message. The website registered 46.993 unique visitors between September and November and 140.000 visited pages.

The Facebook page has 75.000 likes with a reach of 5.000.000 users since January 2016 (+175% vs 2015).
