By August 2, 2017March 31st, 2021Business Performance

Movement Entertainment are glad to share with their supporters Kappa FuturFestival 6th edition’s excellent results, which confirms itself as the most beloved urban daytime Clever Entertainment format; the first in the industry, in Italy, to receive the European Commission patronage.

EUROPEAN COOPERATION – KFF was among the chosen venues for experimenting wearable technologies that use the Internet of Things, as part of the Horizon 2020 MONICA project, coordinated by Istituto Superiore Mario Boella.

PROGRAM AND ATTENDANCE – the Festival took place over two days from midday to midnight on three stages involving 47 performing international artists, twenty-one of which were Italian and 15 from Turin. 45.000 attendees from all over Europe: 26% of the audience from abroad, 62 nationalities represented.

TERRITORY AND TOURISM – KFF has further strengthened the tight bonds with the local area through collaboration with regional suppliers, employing about 650 people and collaborating with the territory’s tour operators promoting around 12.000 overnight stays in the city hotels. KFF also collaborated with the Municipality of Turin and the local Islamic Community to organise a celebration of the End of Ramandan that took place at Parco Dora a week before the Festival and with the Medacross foundation for a humanitarian fundraising activity.

The estimated positive outcome on the local economy is around €10million.

MOBILITY AND SUSTAINABILITY – The renewed partnership with Sagat expanded the extra-urban mobility program, promoting over 3k transits at Turin Airport. The long lasting collaboration with GTT consolidated the urban mobility program: KFF launched the innovative WeTaxi platform, which together with TaxiTorino registered over 7k fares.
The TRASHed – Recycling Store environmental educational campaign, whose aim is to encourage recycling, has been once again operated by Global Inheritance, the Los Angeles based non-profit organization.

INNOVATION – The Cashless technology has been further improved: the digital payment method used to purchase goods and services at the Festival facilitates accounting management, reduces cash circulation and provides an extraordinary interaction platform between sponsors and the audience.

COMMUNICATION AND MEDIA – 150 accredited media operators. The website registered 183.769 unique visitors between 1st January and 10th July and 528.161 visited pages. Facebook had 184.000 visits and 44.000 new fans with a total of 113.000 mainly from Italy, Mexico and United Kingdom. The page’s reach is 18.235.401 people. Contents by artists and bloggers reach more than 3million people.
