KAPPA FUTUR FESTIVAL

FuturFestival is born in the spring of 2008, on the centenary of the Futurist manifesto. On December 31st, it takes place for the first time to celebrate the New Year’s Eve and Turin’s award as European Youth Capital. FuturFestival gathers more than 7k young people from all over Italy.

In 2009 FuturFestival collaborates with the organization of the Turin’s New Year’s Eve in Piazza Vittorio with headliners such as Groove Armada and Juliette Lewis together with other artists of international leverage.

On December 7th, 2010 FuturFestival presents Bloody Betroots’ exclusive Italian show, with the special appearance of Tommy Lee at the drums.

In June 2012 FuturFestival unfolds as the first Italian 100% daytime summer festival, under the name of Kappa FuturFestival, from the well known sportswear brand.

In 2013 KFF enters the Top 5 European Summer Festivals chart.

In 2015 the cashless technology is introduced to purchase all goods and services at the Festival, using a card that can be topped up by cash or debit/credit card.

Since 2016 it has been granted the European Commission Patronage together with Movement Festival, setting a precedent for the sector in Italy.

The same year The New York Times recommended it as an event “not to miss” when in Italy.

In 2018 the 45k festival-goers comes from 88 nations; overall 35% of participants come from abroad.

In 2019 Kappa FuturFestival wins the Best International Festival prize at the DJ Awards.

In 2020 the digital format Kappa Futur Tribute registers 665k views and a reach of 1,3mln users.

The 2022 edition sets a new record with 80k attendees from 105 countries.

The tenth edition will be held from June 30 to July 1-2 and it has the expectation of having +85,000 guests from 105 countries and reaching +60 million people digitally.
