The Week Ahead on Ibiza – Tue 26th August 2014
Can you believe we are looking down the barrel of our first closing parties this week? It doesn’t seem like five minutes we were counting down the days for the first party to open but Ushuaia says goodbye to Hardwell on Tuesday and Avicii on Sunday. David Guetta has already left the beachfront for this summer but fret not, there are plenty of late nights to be had before the shutters come down. Float Your Boat on Tuesday gets set for Music Is Revolution in Space that night with special guest Elio Riso hopping on board.
After his surprise birthday last week, Cristian Varela returns to Blue Marlin Ibiza, Cala Jondalon Wednesday, while on the same day tINI & The Gang takeover Sands Beach club in Playa d’en Bossa for another free party. Thursday August 28th sees Luciano and Michel Cleis head toDestino Pacha Resort for the club MTV Ibiza special, in association with CR2 recordscelebrating its tenth anniversary while Richie Hawtin is joined in Space by Dixon among many others and Claude von Stroke takes on Sake Bar duty from 9pm, with a special guest.Thursday night also sees the end of the Wax Da Jam for this season, with a last chance to catchNightmares On Wax live.
While it’s hard to distinguish the weekend in Ibiza, with so many parties happening all week, there are few special events to be looking out for. Blue Marlin Ibiza gets us off to a carnival start with Brazilian Connection on Friday night. Kenny Dope drops into Ocean Beach Ibiza on Saturday for the latest edition of Soul Heaven , broadcast live on Ibiza Sonica and later on Saturday night he joins Louie Vega as Masters At Work are the special guests of Martin Solveig and Friends in Pacha while Italian festival giants Movement brings its DC10 residency to a close with Hi Tek Soul , featuring Derrick May, Joe Claussel and Lollino . Rounding off the week in style, Groove Armada takes centre stage at We Love Sundays at Space while Heidijoins Solomun in the Pacha booth for the attest of his plus one journeys. There is plenty to keep you dancing on the island this week, have fun whatever you get up to…
