FuturFestival was born to celebrate 2010 New Year’s Eve and Turin’s victory as European Youth Capital. FuturFestival gathers more than 7k young people from all over Italy, thus resulting the “Italian most beloved New Year’s Eve party”.
December 31st, 2009 FuturFestival collaborates with the organization of the Turin’s New Year’s Eve in Piazza Vittorio presenting Groove Armada as the headliner of the event, together with Juliette Lewis and other internationally recognized artists.
December 7th, 2010 FuturFestival presents Bloody Betroots’ exclusive Italian show, with special appearance by Tommy Lee at the drums.
June 30th, 2012 FuturFestival unfolds as the first italian 100% daytime summer festival, under the name of Kappa FuturFestival, taking its name from the well known sport brand.
In 2013 KFF enters the Top 5 European Summer Festivals.
In 2015 the cashless technology is introduced to purchase all goods and services at the Festival, using a card that can be topped up by cash or credit card.
Since 2016 it is granted the European Commission Patronage together with Movement Festival, setting a precedent for the sector in Italy.
The use of the cashless technology has been improved by issuing a loyalty card that can be used in every format of the group.
KFF18 counts 87 nationalities among the 50k attendees, of which 35% came from abroad.
